Since he’s been down for so long, I’m making up stories for Buffalo Pundit so you don’t have to.
If Buffalo Pundit were able to write today, he’d possibly write about the Stanley Cup playoffs. He might say that with such beautiful weather and the Buffalo outdoor events season being in full swing, much less local attention is being given to the NHL now that the Sabres are out of it.
BP would be right. I find very little discourse about hockey in my day-to-day discussions. Hockey’s just not a summer thing.
The NHL would do itself a great service if it ended its season in March or April. Tonight’s merciful finale, coming on June 6th, is way too late in the year.
Maybe fans in Anaheim and Ottawa were watching. Hardly anyone else was. Their national overnight ratings won’t make 1.
