30 Minutes from Nowhere

This is a photograph of 30 minutes from nowhere. Had I pointed my camera in any direction, the view would have been about the same.

This place is also 30 minutes from downtown Buffalo, 30 minutes from Hamburg and if you drive fast, 30 minutes from Williamsville. It’s 30 minutes from anywhere, and that’s my point.

You don’t have to live in the city to immerse yourself in urban life, because the drive time from nowhere is only 30 minutes. You can live in the country and very conveniently get to city events without blowing off the whole day. You can live in the city and if you have a hankering to go for a country drive you’ll be there in less than 30 minutes.

This is not something you can do from most metropolitan areas. I can’t think of a single area with a population over 1 million – maybe Raleigh-Durham or Charlotte – where you can get from rural to urban so quickly, and so easily.

This is Buffalo’s secret. This is yet one more reason why it’s such a great place to live. You are 30 minutes from anywhere.
